Brazil has a forestry model highly efficient with more than 10 million hectares of forests planted. Despite this, the participation of the country in the value chains of forest international is unbalanced. Brazil exports mainly materials semiprocesados, while the consumption of high-value and processing are carried out abroad. In the seminar Global Impacts from Brazilian Forestry Sector: THE GHEM Analysis Across Three Decades (1996, 2010, 2022) examines the importance of the forest sector in the global economy through the Method of Extraction Hypothetical (MEH). The objective is to evaluate the dependence of the international economics of the forest sector brasileño and how much benefit or harm other countries if Brazil withdraws his contribution.
